Raj Mahal

Raj Mahal is a local community builder through many mediums of music, filling up local venues and beyond as a rapper, freestyler, band leader and DJ. Being raised in Glasgow with Punjabi roots, Raj has channeled the experience of being mixed-race and neurodivergent through their time on stage, diving into different art forms as a vehicle for self-development and the pursuit of excellence.

Whether it be his work as the creator of punk/hip hop outfit “Raj Against the Machine”, his untitled 6-piece jazz rap band, DJ club nights like “Drum n Bars” as well as his work to spotlight the queer community in hip hop through “Steer Queer”, the intention is clear: bringing people together to celebrate our differences, and hopefully a cheeky moshpit. After 2 years of running monthly events and developing as a multi-faceted artist, there is plenty to pass on in when it comes to knowledge, skills and opportunity.
